HEIKE CRAB,YAMAGUCHI KEN. the back of a crab in the Japan Inland Sea looks like a face of a samurai. A legend suggests that the crabs are reincarnation of the Heike clan warriors who committed suicide by jumping into the water after their defeat in a naval battle.
HIBAGON,HIROSHIMA KEN. Smaller version of Bigfoot. According to reports, it is a smelly, snub-nosed mountain-dweller with glaring eyes. Sight goes back to 1972.
TSUCHINOKO,OKAYAMA KEN. Reptilian looking like a fat-bodied snake with a thin neck and a wide face. It has a prise on its head of the amount of 20 million yen .
PANAWAVE CULT,GIFU KEN. Cult founded in 1977. The members prepare for the apocalypse and typically dress in white, use mirrors and white vans to deflect dangerous elctromagnetic radiations. Sociologists and psycologists believe that the cult expresses deep social anxieties like technophobia and pollution. (Oh, really? Such a smart conclusion!!)

YONAGUNI SEA RUINS, OKINAWA. Near Taiwan there are underwater structures that suggest the existence of a civilized and technologically advanced culture of 10.000 years ago, later disappeared in a sort of cataclism.

Leggevo un aritcolo interessante su Metropolis, il magazine in inglese N1 in Giappone, e ho trovato questa storia riguardo alle superstizioni. Cito qui le credenze dei giapponesi. In quasi ogni zona del Giappone si trovano fenomeni intriganti che non hanno spiegazioni razionali semplici. Miti? Superstizioni?Leggende?Anomalie scientifiche? Sfida per i razionalisti?
Ma elenchiamo tutte le credenze.

Sociologi e psicologi credono che il culto esprima profonde ansie sociali come tecnofobia e inquinamento. (Ma davvero? che conclusione intelligente!!!)

SUICIDE FOREST,YAMANASHI KEN. Forse è la bellezza naturale del monte Fuji, o forse una misteriosa empatia con gli spiriti dei morti che hanno abitato il posto, forse per alcuni effetti di massa, fatto sta che la foresta è raccomandata come il posto perfetto per commettere suicidi.

YONAGUNI SEA RUINS, OKINAWA. Vicino Taiwan sono state scoperte strutture sommerse che sugeriscono l'esistena di una cultura civilizzata e tecnologicamente avanzata vechcia di circa 10000 anni, scomparsa poi per via di un cataclisma.
