Sir Dracula, maitre d'oeuvre

Another evening, another plan, another scenario for the long series of good-bye dinners for JJ. Since the themed places, or the themes i general, are the fashion of the moment, we aks if the vampire cafe is a good one to extend the agony of the greetings.

So, after the black of the ninjas, after the Dutch orange, here is the dress-code red. The restaurant is located in a would say dodgy area in Ginza - ironically the posh place for the Tokyo elite- but easy to spot. At the moment of the reservation, seen that we like the non casual coincidences, we expressively request to eat our bloody dinner in the "blood room", and the coincidence in here is that we have the departing JJ who was asked to donate his blood for Sylvia's research, and Sylvia who is a modern vampire. For scientific purposes, I mean.

Anyways, red-dressed and curious, at the entrance we are welcomed by a reliable enough Sir Dracula, even if with a too straight hair and a nearly exaggerated makeup, who greets us with a gloomy 'good evening', shows us his sharp teeth, opens his eyes with red irises wide and leads us to our table. the blood room has a coffin in the middle, a candle holder, all the tables are rigorously red or black, red drapes (maybe pall?) separate the niches with the tables, a black transparent curtains isolate us from the rest of the room. Candles. Real ones. Lighted. Everywhere.

So in general the vampire theme is well rendered, some bats hare, some crucifixes there, low lights and feeble music to the rest. A little bit of disappointment for the lack of "entertainment": no vampires crashing in, no wind blows, no sudden noises...but after all we didn't go to the haunted house.

The food was themed too, with dishes coffin-shaped, swords, crucifix, and so on. The cocktail was good: red, strong, rose taste. A bit too sweet but lovable.
What I missed was a tour in the other rooms, just to have a look...but, hey, they gave us a discount coupon, so....
