Tomo YA - Act II

Ecco l'inizio :
"He had moved to Japan just few weeks before for his mother's job, a multinational company's executive, but for Luca it seemed it has been thousands of years ago. He missed his school friends, his friends from the neighborhood. He parted from Catania, his home town ideally cast between the sea and a active volcano, without a proper good-bye, without knowing when and if he would return.
Well, he would see things under a different light in ten years, but that, Luca didn't know yet. He was only 17, and at that age moving to another country, another continent even, meant the end of the world. "

E ora speriamo bene.

I mentioned a while ago about an initiative aimed to collect funds in favor of the teens affected by the Tsunami in Japan….

The deadline for participation was August 15th. Let's say I made it, but I made it by the skin of one's teeth, so to speak.
I got an inspiration on Friday night, and on Sunday I worked on a fiction for 5 straight hours, trying to finish by 3000 words.
Right, inspiration leaves me just 500 words from the end, and it doesn't come back. It doesn't at all.

The following day, Sunday, throughout swinging by the beach and showing up at Aka Renga, I hope I will get that inspiration I need to finish and send my participation.
Nothing, I realize also that my story now could become a proper novel, and the 3000 words limit is too stringent. I would at lest need 3000 more words!

On Monday morning, the deadline day, I try anyway to finish my project, I want to try no matter what….also because by then I had spent two days thinking, so I have to go all the way now.
I sent the email. Not so satisfied by the result, but happy for trying.

Here goes the first paragraph:

"He had moved to Japan just few weeks before for his mother's job, a multinational company's executive, but for Luca it seemed it has been thousands of years ago. He missed his school friends, his friends from the neighborhood. He parted from Catania, his home town ideally cast between the sea and a active volcano, without a proper good-bye, without knowing when and if he would return.
Well, he would see things under a different light in ten years, but that, Luca didn't know yet. He was only 17, and at that age moving to another country, another continent even, meant the end of the world. "

Now let's hope for good.
