Wrong Lifestyle

no puntare sull'effetto esagerazione pur di vendere...

****************

Following commercials is a very precise way to understand where society is moving to.
Now, we leave aside the discussion on the Japanese advertisement for the moment. Though, I have to mention a few really interesting cases.

There is three things the average Japanese can't, apparently, live without, due to the miracle properties they posses:
-razors
-beer
-coffee

All commercials, all billboards about coffee aim to show that such a product can give power with no equals. Stuff like, you have a sip and you turn into a gladiator, you'll be the rendition of physical strength. The source of such power is hidden in one of those coffee cans,     of different brands, different blends, with milk, double, black, mild....COME ON, YOU SLEEP ANYWHERE, IN ANY CASE!!

I mean, you really think that's coffee...have you ever had a real coffee? One of those made in a bar in Naples? That one DOES wake you up. Not those canned surrogate mix of chemicals and flavoring stuff...The Japanese wake up by the sound of the music at the stations, not by coffee.

Beers, instead, are presented as a source of refreshment, they help body and mind relaxation, they make the sun come out while it was raining just before, they help digesting the tonnes of meat and fried stuff the Japanese seem to stuff up with, they give back tone and vigor to the fatigued body. In this case too, there's beers for all, no alcohol, foamy like shaving foam, and so on. So, beer is THE drink, the one that can't be missed in any case and for any reason.....COME ON, YOU GET DRUNK WITH JUST A SIP, ANYWAY!!

The truth is, the Japanese don't handle alcohol very well, or, many of them, and yet the idea of being as drunk as a soaked mop, this idea doesn't stop them.

Gold medal, though, is for the commercials about razors, both with blades and electric. You should see how they are advertised...three, four, FIVE blades, which with just a move are able to smooth even the most shaggy man's chin, they leave no traces (hmm, may it be the actors' triple layer of make up?), but just a feeling of tenderness so unique that silk, in comparison, feels bristly...
Electric razors work in basically every situation and circumstance, under the shower, one rub and done! And you must see the fierce look and the warrior stand these men assume after shaving....COME ON, YOU JUST HAVE ONE HAIR ON EACH SIDE OF YOUR NOSE!!!

Probably the producers have to stress on the exaggerating effect in order to sell.
