Transit 2011-2012 (via Copacabana)

C'e' chi, come me, invece parla parla parla, ma poi….

Buon anno e buona fortuna.

*************

Here we are, at the end again, and at the beginning again….

Another year is coming, we will get together with friends or family, we will drink, we will hug and we will promise thousands times to do better this and better that, we will indulge in resolutions….in the 72 hours in-between the end and the beginning, we are the most optimistic, the most hopeful, the most dreamer, and during these hours we are determined to leave anything old, bad, wrong behind, we are ready to welcome the new year convinced that we will keep our promises, we will be new persons, more attractive, stronger, with no defects, machines programmed to succeed…after these first ecstatic hours, though, everything will be repeated more or less like the previous year but with the enthusiasm going weaker by the time the year progresses. How many times have we stated we would do more sports, to end up spending our free time being lazy? Some have a strong will and they really manage to change what's wrong. Some, look me, say they want to do things, but then….

The main events in this outgoing year were few but very important: in Japan, we experience a chain-reaction earthquake-tsunami-radiation danger-panic unheard-of. Who knows what all those people without homes are wishing for, while we ask for, probably, higher pay, love, travels….
Then, FINALLY the B era in Italy seems to be over. I am talking about politics. Also the Arab countries had their own political revolutions, through blood and rebellion, but a new era is slowly starting.
Bin Laden and Gadhafi are out of scene, idem, although because of age, the korean 'dear dictator' passes away. Uhm, well, if 'dear' i can't say….
Two of the most famous royal descendants, Alberto in Monaco and William in England, get married, and here the press worldwide didn't spare the couples comparisons to past, present and future royal members. This one piece of news was just to feed the gossip a bit, just to get a touch of levity.

My year, now. Satisfying, very, although a odd year. And you know I don't like odd numbers….mostly, a year psychologically difficult, fatiguing and hard…in facts, just to lead you across the trains of thoughts in my mind, it is right in a odd year, in a odd month, in a odd day that we register the strongest quake in known history here in Japan…and now, just to be fair, let's take my birthday..a even day, in a even month, and celebrating a even number of birthdays….i have to actually say that things started to become interesting with the 30's, an event that was the most significant for me this year. I am now just seeding some ideas, hoping that in the next (even) year they will give fruits.

What else…..it would be nice if I could consider resolutions things like fight famine and poverty in the world, defeat AIDS, stop all the nations' governors to want power, live in a sustainable and green world, wake up people's consciousness.
But, this year, no resolutions, as I know I will never manage to do whatever I wish for, being it as simple as waking up every day at 6. One could, instead, wish to , simply, live life fully, being aware of everything is around us and move on with respect of oneself and the others, live (even better if in the Caribbean).

Happy new year and good luck.

  1. Buona fine e buon inizio!! :)
    Ciao! ^^
