The shopping paradise

*****************

Tokyo is the town where one can find anything, really anything, even the superfluous. Actually, the superfluous above all.

It can be said, the market here is woman, meaning that the majority of the shoppers is woman. More specifically, clothes shoes and bags are the dream and the nightmare of women, both Japanese and all women in general. The shopping paradise is here in Tokyo and women know this too well, being influenced also by the latest years trends inspired by this city's fashion. It is enough to have a walk in Ginza or Omotesando to have an idea. The Japanese follow the trends, but rather than that, I'd say they make the trends.

Now, one could think I have found my paradise here, since the sizes are small and the offer is simply gigantic...nope, none of all that is helping.
Three reasons: although I am thin, I don't have Japanese shape (broad shoulders, low hips), nor the height (everything fits short); I don't like the style at all; finally, I can't cope with the crowded shops, loud music and constantly yelling staff.
It was not the case two years ago, when the summer fashion met my taste (sandals and stretchy dresses are the solution to all problems), but apart from that I haven't bought anything so far. And I actually don't miss it, I can actually invest my money in something else and not so superfluous. Maybe this is actually my paradise after all.....
