Happy Holidays

Non sono sicura di avere tempo più in la questo mese per il consueto appuntamento con il sommario del 2012, troppi troppi ma troppi impegni in queste ultime settimane per poter dedicare la parte creativa del mio cervello all'elaborazione di post per il blog…quindi quest'anno il sommario non lo facciamo, pero' possiamo sempre accennare a qualcosa che mi passa ora per la testa.

Una cosa vale la pena considerarla: il 2012 e' stato l'anno dei viaggi, quelli lunghi, quelli per cui ci vogliono visti, passaporti, itinerari impossibili che solo la mia mente riesce a immaginare e poi mettere in atto. Una cosa che mi preme dire e' che ovunque vada, sono sempre accolta da persone meravigliose, che mi dimostrano quanto forti siano i legami umani. Tutte queste persone, non solo riferendomi al 2012, sappiano che la mia gratitudine e' immensa e che e' una fortuna averli incontrati a un certo punto del mio lungo cammino….I miei viaggi continueranno, con una conferenza a Fukuoka, e poi con le ferie di fine anno in Australia, ancora una volta per far si che il caldo dell'estate australe possa aiutarmi a superare i mesi freddi una volta rientrata in Giappone.

Su quest'anno ha pesato molto la crisi che si e' vissuta in Europa, e che ha avuto ripercussioni un po' ovunque, Giappone incluso. La gente non ha avuto molta fiducia, i mercati ce lo hanno dimostrato, i fatti politici anche, le rivalità tra nazioni anche…deve essere una congiunzione astrale negativissima, o forse qualche ascendente zodiacale e' entrato in conflitto con qualche pianeta, o chi lo sa, forse e' l'oroscopo cinese che proprio fa a botte con il calendario lunare….chissà chissà…. ma no, chi volete che ci creda agli oroscopi!!!

Pero', se proprio si vuole trovare un appiglio per far felici gli amanti della materia, secondo il calendario cinese, quest'anno del drago doveva essere positivo…beh, lo e' stato per buona parte (almeno per me, dico), c'e' stata una cospicua inflessione, ma il nuovo anno, sotto il segno cinese del serpente entrerà solo a febbraio, quindi possiamo ancora sperare che si possa risalire ai livelli positivi dell'inizio. No, dico, deve essere così, altrimenti questi non ci hanno proprio azzeccato con le previsioni!

Un'ombra aleggia ora su questa fine di anno, relativamente alla situazione politica in Italia: pare Silvio voglia tornare, dopo aver annunciato ufficialmente che si sarebbe ritirato…questa e' proprio una cattiva novella, se fosse vero. Ma mai che fosse la volta buona che ce lo leviamo di torno? Questo secondo me pure dalla tomba troverà il modo di far parlare di se!! Cari bambini, quando scriverete la vostra lettera a Babbo Natale, ricordatevi di chiedere che Silvio venga mandato in pensione (o da qualunque altra parte sia utile per tenerlo alla larga dall'Italia), cari lettori adulti, scrivetela anche voi questa lettera a Babbo Natale…

I am not sure I'll have some time later this month for the regular appointment with the summary for 2012, I have too much but too much stuff to do in these last weeks to dedicate the creative part of my brain in elaborating a post for my blog….so, this year, there won't be any year-end closing remarks, although I could actuallyl mention a few things from the top of my head.

I have to say just this one thing: 2012 was the year for travels, the long ones, which you need to prepare visa, passport for, impossible itineraries only my crazy mind can imagine and make them work. I have to say here, too, that everywhere I go I always receive the top treatment by wonderful people who show me every time how strong human bonds are. All these people, not only the ones I met on 2012, should know that my gratitude is immense and I feel lucky to have met them at some point in life…my trips are not over just yet, there is a conference in Fukuoka and then the year end vacation in Australia, one more time in the warm austral summer to load up in vitamin D and survive the Japanese winter after my return.

The European crisis heavily contributed to make people to lose hope and faith, everywhere, including Japan, and markets, politics, wars are showing us that loss….we must be living a very negative astral conjunction, or peraphs is is some zodiac ascendent antagonizing some planet, or, who knows, maybe it is the Chinese horoscope fighting with the lunar calendar…mumble mumble…of course it is not that, I mean, who believes in horoscopes!

But, if we really want to find a reason to make the lovers of this topic happy, the Chinese calendar said this year of the dragon was supposed to be positive…I mean, it was so mainly (relatively to me, for one thing), and then an inflection. But the new year of the snake will come only in February, so we can still hope that we will go back to a positive level. It must be this way, otherwise the horoscope predictions are all wrong!

There is a shadow casting on the end of the year, tho, relatively to the political situation in Italy: it looks like Silvio wants to come back, just after he had officially announced he'd quit…this is really bad news, if it were true. Is it ever possible we'll get rid of him? This guy I am sure will find ways to be popular even after death! Dear children, this year when you write to Santa, remember to ask that Silvio be sent to retirement (or confinement or whatever solution keeps him away from Italy), and dear adults, why don't you write this letter to Santa too….
